HELICOPTER PROBLEM
Top rotors stop spinning. Is this normal? Is my unit
defective?
EXPLANATION
When you first power up; both rotors
are turning at a good rate. Now if you just let it sit there OR if you
gradually give it power, the top rotor will stop spinning. The reason is that the
built in gyro is not sensing a need for the top rotor to counteract the
rotational force of the bottom blades. In other words the heli itself is NOT
spinning and the gyro does not see the need to turn on, or increase speed on
the top blades. Hence they stop turning or sometimes slow down to a stop.
SOLUTION
When you power up, give it enough
throttle (quick) enough to get it off the ground. Once you do this the built
in gyro senses the bottom rotor trying to spin the heli one way and therefore
it tells the top rotor to counteract the spin by increasing or decreasing its
speed. If this does not solve the problem then there may have been a missed or
incorrectly executed step in the binding process. Example: Helicopter was
moved or tilted before binding was completed throwing off the gyro. Power off the heli
and radio, wait a few
seconds and then reconnect.

PROBLEM
The Fusion Helicopter suddenly tipped
sideways during flight and crashed. It is defective and I want free parts or a
replacement.
EXPLANATION
The Fusion is a fixed pitch coaxial
helicopter. Such models get blown around by wind and are only suitable
for indoor flying. It is mechanically impossible for the Fusion to tip itself
over or be accidentally or intentionally tipped through user control inputs
(we have tried). The environment in which you place your Fusion makes a big
difference.
SOLUTION
Find an indoor space with a lot of room where you feel
comfortable learning to fly. Close windows, doors and any other possible
source of moving air that may blow your helicopter out of the air. Take off
from and land on a smooth surface; stay away from carpet or grass that can
potentially snag your landing skid and end your flight before you even take
off or make your landing rougher than expected.
